Vegas Magazine Celebrates 6th Anniversary In StyleBy Rob Goald
Saturday night, May 30, 2009 Vegas Magazine hosted a gala affair at PURE Nightclub inside Caesars Palace to celebrate its 6th Anniversary. Heather Graham, star of The Hangover and Vegas Magazine’s June issue cover model, hosted the evening with special entertainment provided by PURE Nightclub’s very own performers from The Pussycat Dolls Lounge.

On the Red Carpet, music producer Jermaine Dupri, Janet Jackson’s longtime beau, made a solo appearance dressed casually in a cream colored shirt and summer weight suit. Dupri has recruited Usher and Nelly into a group he has named “Ocean’s 7”, after the Rat Pack movie, “Ocean’s Eleven”. “Las Vegas is begging for a new breath of energy”, Dupri related at the venue.

Other celebrity guests making it to the Red Carpet included Larry (aka Hot Chocolate) Edwards who acts as the “mood director” for Piranha Nightclub. Larry, whose credits include “La Cage” and the motion picture “Miss Congenialty 2”, is still celebrating the key to the city he recently received from Mayor Oscar Goodman. Former Hefner girlfriend and television personality, Holly Madison, was accompanied by Playboy Playmate (July 08), Laura Croft.
Actress Erica Hubbard, ABC Family Channel’s “Lincoln Heights”, shared that she grew up in the same South Chicago block as first lady Michelle Obama. Heather Graham closed out the red carpet and related that “persistence” is the trait most needed to make it in the highly competitive movie acting environment.

Also attending the jam-packed event were Allison Brie from “Mad Men”, song-writer/producer Bryan- Michael Cox, New York Knicks’ Al Harrington, Smash Mouth’s Steve Harwell, actress Nicky Hilton, artist/rapper Nelly, producer Ray J, Grammy Award Winner Robin Thicke, Miami Heat NBA player Dwayne Wade, comedian George Wallace, 24’s Annie Wersching, actor Shane West and celebrity hairstylist Johnny Wright.Led by Greenspun Media Group President Michael Carr and Group Publisher Alison Miller, Vegas Magazine is owned by Niche Media LLC, a subsidiary of Greenspun Media Group.

Blending tradition and style, PURE Nightclub was transformed into a chic candy-themed paradise as a creative twist on the age-old 6th anniversary gift tradition. Good times were had by all as the partygoers were among the first to see the special 6th Anniversary issue, which hits newsstands and mailboxes on June 10th.
